The CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS takes member privacy seriously; information provided to us by our members must be protected. When members provide the CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS with personal information about themselves, such as their names and postal or e-mail addresses or phone numbers, we must be careful about protecting their personal information.
What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS treatment of personally identifiable information that CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS collects as part of our membership information. This policy does not apply to the practices of other parties that the CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS may need to share information with, although we will try to confirm with other parties that they have appropriate privacy polices in place.
Information Collection and Use
The CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS collects personally identifiable information when a person registers for membership, makes a payment or donation. When registering, we ask for name, home address, email address, phone contact, and similar company information. We may also at certain times for the purposes of invoicing or receiving monies acquire member’s personal financial information, including credit card and bank account information. By providing this information the member is providing consent to receive information from the CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS via regular postage or electronic means.
CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS uses information for four general purposes: – Tracking membership – Creating and publishing a membership list for internal use – Creating Invoicing or other accounting practices – Communication with members including regular mailings (via general post or electronic)
CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS will not sell, loan or rent personally identifiable information to any unrelated individual, or organization. In order to achieve an appropriate balance between the information needs of the organization, the proper management of that information and Canadian privacy laws, it is CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEER’S practice to:
Collect, use, and retain only that personal information which is required for business or legal reasons and only for the length of time which it is reasonably required. Provide members with a means of ensuring that their personal information in membership records is correct and provide the option to stop receiving communications upon written request by the member. Limit the internal availability of personal information about others to only those individuals with a need-to-know. Release personal information outside CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS only with Board and/or member approval/consent. CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS may only send personally identifiable information about a member to other organizations or people when: – We have consent to share the information – We need to share information to provide the product or service a member has requested; or – We respond to subpoenas, court orders or any other legal process.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
CANADIAN PICTURE PIONEERS may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you at the next Annual General Meeting.
