Regional and National events are arranged by Branches to encourage Pioneers and industry members to participate in the activities and fellowship of the organization.(See below for current Events)
Major Pioneer events include:
– Annual Golf Tournaments and Dinner
– Annual General Meetings
– Annual Pioneer Palooza
– Annual Awards Dinner
– Annual Christmas/Chanukah Children's Party
In addition, branches organize other social and fund-raising projects, such as Premiere Nights, Race Nights, Academy Awards Dinner and other special events, including the newly launched Pioneering Women events, specifically for women in Toronto from the entertainment industry.
The National Branch, headquartered in Toronto since the inception of the Picture Pioneers, each Spring holds the organization's National Annual General Meeting Luncheon. At this meeting new Board of Directors members are elected, new members are welcomed and updates are presented on the organization's operations and benevolent activities.
The "Pioneer of the Year" Award Dinner, held in Toronto each year draws entertainment industry members and friends from across Canada and the USA to honour the Award Recipients, selected from all branches across Canada for their contributions to our industry and communities. This event is usually held in conjunction with the Provincial Motion Picture Exhibitors Association meetings
