Canadian Picture Pioneers Welcomes Incoming Executive Director

The Canadian Picture Pioneers (CPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Herscovici as its incoming Executive Director, effective October 6, 2025.

Adrian brings to the CPP a unique blend of film industry experience, communications expertise, and not-for-profit leadership. He began his career in film distribution with both a major studio and independent distributors, and for the past 17 years has held senior communications roles within a Canadian not-for-profit. Adrian takes a people-first approach to building community through shared experiences that celebrate achievement and strengthen connection – qualities that align closely with the mission and spirit of the Canadian Picture Pioneers.

As many members know, Melissa Pressacco, the CPP’s current Executive Director, will return to school in January. Thanks to her thoughtful planning, and the work of the hiring committee, Melissa and Adrian will serve as Co-Executive Directors through the end of 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.

We extend our sincere thanks to Melissa for her leadership and dedication over the past three years, during which the CPP community has continued to grow and thrive. Please join us in wishing Melissa every success in her next chapter and in welcoming Adrian to the CPP family.
