The Canadian Picture Pioneers (CPP) has been helping movie theatre exhibitor and distributor employees across Canada for 80 years.
The CPP’s main goal is to serve as the industry’s community support network, dedicated to the support and well-being of industry members across Canada. This goal is achieved through our industry events and our assistance programs that help industry families in serious financial crisis.

The Canadian Picture Pioneers is a unique charitable organization that is dedicated to the support and well-being of members of the motion picture industry. The CPP has been providing financial assistance and educational support to its members since being founded in Canada in 1940. The CPP Trust Fund and Student Assistance Awards program are entirely funded through the generosity of its members and partners.
MISSION STATEMENT
• To provide assistance to eligible applicants who are in financial distress and have a clear need
• To cultivate the next generation of pioneers for the Canadian motion picture industry
• To build and foster relationships and a sense of community for those involved with the Canadian motion picture industry
• To develop relationships between the public and those engaged in the motion picture industry
